KWARANS SHOULD NOT BE DERAIL FROM LIBERATING THE STATE WITH THE ELECTION POSTPONEMENT – By Bakare Sheriff of Safe Kwara Initiative (SKI).

Dear fellow Kwara Liberators,

There is no doubt that the postponement of Feb 16 Presidential and National Assembly election by a week will impact greatly on us all; financially and otherwise. What the postponement means to most of us is that we are going to incurs/expends our hard earned resources once again to vote for our preferred candidates in all the three electives post.

Many of us, especially those who had to travelled to their respective polling booths, like me who had to travelled to my hometown (Agbeku in Ifelodun Local Govt of Kwara State) to cast our vote, on hearing the postponements, out of annoyance and disappointments, had earlier said we are not going to travel again for any Presidential/Senate/House of Rep election, because we had already expended the budgeted resources (financial, emotional, time and others) for the election and wont be repeating same for the incompetence of INEC. Some of us added that we will only travel for the Governorship and State House of Assembly election.

But we all need to ask ourselves this simple question: should we allow the postponement of a week cause a regret of four (4) more years? Because if some of us failed to change our resolute of not voting in the new dates as announced by INEC, we may be handing over the state to Saraki and his cohorts for another four (4) years of slavery.

Rather than not voting again in the rescheduled elections, we should all double our efforts and re-echo the sound of ‘O to geeee’ (enough is enough) and what it stands for to the hearing of our people. Enough can only be enough if we did not back down at the sign of first challenge of postponement.

We should all go out and start talking to people around us, educate them more on why they must not give up now. Every disappointment, they say, is a blessing. No amount of postponement should derail us from our dream of liberating Kwara from the hands of Bukola Saraki. O to geeeeeee!!!!

Vote Buhari and all APC candidates in Kwara state.

FROM SAFE KWARA INITIATIVE TEAM.
